Hi! My name is Núbia, I am a native Carioca (resident of Salvador/BA for at the time) and I have been teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners since 2002. I studed Portuguese at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and did my Post-graduate in Literature at the same University. I've given lessons to students from all over the world, and all age groups.
After years of work, I've developed my own method of teaching Portuguese. Language is culture! And I specialize in the understanding of the social and historical contexts of Brazil and their social relations as a path to manage communication with Brazilians. Portuguese Immersion for Beginners
This is an immersion program that helps students starting from scratch acquire a basic level of Portuguese. Classes are held daily during the first four weeks. Ideal for those who need to learn Portuguese quickly.
CELPE-BRAS Exam
Specific classes for certification of proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese. Preparation focused on the four evaluated skills: listening comprehension, reading, writing production, and oral interaction.
Tupiniquim Cultural Immersion
Classes focused on Brazilian literature and Brazilian cinema. A journey through authors, cultural movements, and cinematographic productions that help students understand Brazil’s identity and diversity.

Three levels of student ability:
beginners, intermediate and advanced
-Individual lessons are 150 reais per hour $ 30, or € 28 per hour.
-Portuguese Immersion for Beginners special package
It is a special program (with a discounted price), $25 dollars per hour, 120 reais, or € 23 per hour.
- Group lessons are 90 reais, $16,00 or € 15,00 per hour .
- Portuguese for kids are 200 reais per hour $ 40, or € 38 (only private classes).
