Ik vond Professora Núbia in mijn Google-zoekopdrachten. Ze is de beste lerares ter wereld! Al na een paar maanden kon ik een echt gesprek in het Portugees voeren. Ze is energiek en altijd in een goed humeur, en ze heeft er ongetwijfeld toe bijgedragen dat mijn verblijf in Brazilië onvergetelijk werd. Het gaat niet alleen om Portugese taalles, Núbia deelt ook haar cultuur, haar muziek en de Braziliaanse levensstijl. Om een nieuwe taal te leren, moet je een goede relatie hebben met je leraar en Núbia zorgde ervoor dat ik heel snel Portugees leerde. Ik raad haar echt aan!

Professora Nubia moet wel de beste privéleraar Portugees in Rio zijn. Ik kan niet genoeg benadrukken hoe goed ze is. Ze leerde mijn hele gezin van 5, in de leeftijd van 10 tot 43 jaar, heel snel Portugees spreken. Ze wist hoe ze mijn vrouw en mij kon helpen met onze oudere hersenen en hoe we op een heel andere manier contact konden maken met onze jonge kinderen. Het was echt indrukwekkend. Ze is ook heel aardig. Onze tijd met Professora Nubia is een van onze favoriete momenten van onze tijd in Rio de Janeiro.

I took intensive lessons with Nubia before starting work in the Complexo do Alemão in the north of Rio. Not only did Nubia help me gain a really solid understanding of Portuguese basics, we also talked about slang and issues specific to Rio that really helped me with my work. Also, as a language teacher (I teach ESL in the US), I really appreciate her natural, direct teaching method. I feel that I learned quickly and thoroughly, and that she evaluated and dealt with my particular difficulties in Portuguese really well, especially relating to pronunciation and switching over from Spanish.

Núbia is organised, professional and uses a great mix of conversation and grammar to get you reading, writing, listening and speaking like a Carioca. She doesn´t muck around - I went from zero to fluent in 6 months with her (with 4 hours a week)... But she goes at your pace, so I could also take it easy when I preferred. She is reliable, punctual (rare in Brazil!) and a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn´t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. ​

I took class with Núbia for one week, to refresh my portuguese, and to improve some basic mistakes. It was a nice week with intensive classes and in the end I learned a lot. Now I Just Have to use it practically. Nubia was observant and quickly determined what I needed the most work on. She tailored sessions to strengthen my weaknesses and expand my fluency and vocabulary. Ik heb privélessen gevolgd bij Nubia om mijn Portugees te verbeteren voordat ik me verdiepte in mijn proefschriftonderzoek in Salvador. Nubia was opmerkzaam en bepaalde snel waar ik het meeste aan moest werken. Ze heeft de lessen op maat gemaakt om mijn zwakke punten te verbeteren en mijn spreekvaardigheid en woordenschat uit te breiden. Ze plaatste de taallessen in de Braziliaanse context, waardoor mijn begrip van de Braziliaanse cultuur en een authentieker gebruik van de taal verder werd vergroot. Ze is vol energie, leuk en professioneel. Ik raad haar ten zeerste aan!

Núbia is a excellent teacher who won't let you get away if you are too shy to speak or lazy during the lessons. She has a lot of energy and never gives up when she's teaching. It you don't pronounce words the correct way she will correct you. If you use the wrong gender when speaking she will correct you. At all times! Which is really good becouse portuguese needs a lot of attention and can be very hard to understand as a beginner. Her method covers all parts of the language including cultural, political, and philosophical discussions which gives you a deeper understanding of Brazil and portuguese!

NúbiaI recommend Núbia's classes to anyone - wthether it be beginner or other wanting to fine tune then grammar. Her ebergy enthusiasm makes the time fly, by her use of different materials - media, music, texts, conversation always makes for a likely lesson. I had never taken private language lessons before. It was great to get to work on what I needed to improve. My only regret is that I did not do my homework every week!

Núbia I advice people tommake portuguese course with Tupiniquim Course. Núbia is a very good teacher, she makes sure that we have understand. She able to provide me the brazilian culture and teach me method was very efficient an very pleasant. I was very much thanks to this course and I have improved a lot in portuguese.

Núbia's methology - to contextualize the Portuguese language instead of simply translationg grammar - worked very well for me. My understanding of both spoken and written Portuguese improve a lot with four week of semi-privet classes. The fact that Núbia refused to use or let us use other languages during the classes forced me to practise speaking and to concentrate on undersatanding her explenations Portuguese. Núbia puts great emphasis on pronouciation, which I also find important to make yourself understood daily life in Brazil. She also puts the language in the context of Brazilian culture and history. This way, I gost a deeper understanding of not just Brazilian Portuguese, but the inviromment that produced the language.

De lessen bij Tupiniquim waren geweldig, voor mij was het perfect dat de leraar bij mij thuis kwam. Ze is erg enthousiast en was blij een leraar te vinden die zich ook op de uitspraak concentreerde, en niet alleen op de grammatica. Tijdens de lessen bij Nubia ga ik ook veel leren over de Braziliaanse cultuur, hiervoor ben ik dankbaar. Ik raad lessen bij Núbia aan voor iedereen die Portugees wil leren en verbeteren!

Núbia the teacher of Tupiniquim was very nice with us. She is very pleaseble, she's always adapt her play with our constraint and also adpting course in our level and progresse. Núbia use motern methodology lively, with music, cartoons advertising, news reports. It's good mean for learnig quickly. Also Núbia share brasilian's history and culture is a very good help and the best mean to better understand the carioca's way. With Núbia we are always stimulated and encorages to speak even if you make mistakes, she chek about all the things, is very good mean for understanding. I really recommend Tupiniquim Course for learning quickly portuguese to Brazil!

De lessen waren zeer informatief. Ik was in slechts 4 cursusweken in staat om te spreken en met mensen te discussiëren. Núbia kan mensen goed inschatten en werkt met plezier: levendig, gezellig en serieus.

La professora Núbia del Tupiniquim course es excelent, agradable y dinámica. Su metodología de enseñanza permite aprender rápidamente en um ambient de confianza y tranquilidad. Las clases son dinámicas y divertidas. La combinación de técnicas novedosas, material interactivo, gramática, vocabulario, permiten conocer la lengua portuguesa-brasileira tanto en los aspectos más formales como en los coloquiales. I did a two hour survival course with Tupiniquim. It gave me all the essential Phases I needed to get by in the city and also tought me important cultural info! I feel a lot more confident going around Rio by myself now. The class was fun and Nubia is a great teacher!

Ik ben begonnen vanaf nul, ik sprak geen Portugees en heb daarom besloten om het intensieve lespakket te volgen bij Tupiniquim van 4 weken, 5 dagen per week, 2 uur privéles. Ik ben niet erg taalgevoelig en geen gemakkelijke leerling (want ik ben ongeduldig en aarzel om fouten te maken), dus ik was benieuwd hoe dat zou gaan werken. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat Núbia erg goed is in de technieken die ze gebruikte, me overtuigde om te gaan praten en geduldig was met, in ieder geval, mijn ongeduld. Na een maand kon ik zinnen maken, begreep ik een klein beetje van wat mensen zeiden en had ik zin om te proberen met mensen te praten om zo te kunnen oefenen.
